Mental health plays an equal role with physical health in maintaining our overall well-being and is  important at every stage in life. At Kaufman Health and Hormone Center we focus on integrative mental health where we work together to identify the underlying cause of symptoms and address what is occurring on a mental, physical, emotional and spiritual level.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states that “a person’s mental health can change over time, depending on many factors.  When the demands placed on a person exceed their resources and coping abilities, their mental health could be impacted. For example, if someone is working long hours, caring for a relative, or experiencing economic hardship, they may experience poor mental health.” Does this sound like anyone you may know?

During your visit we will review all physiological systems that relate to any symptoms you may have, stressors in your life, beliefs and feelings driving the symptoms and any spiritual issues with which you are dealing. We are dedicated to helping others to move through pain, fear, grief and obstacles to health and mental health. Together we can explore new ways of coping to replace these patterns and rediscover happiness.

Depression manifests in both mental and physical ways. This may show up as feelings of sadness, difficulty with sleep, fatigue, a loss of pleasure, sometimes difficulty concentrating. Anxiety manifests as nervousness, irritability, being on edge, muscle tension, panic, sleep disturbance and difficulty concentrating. Following a complete evaluation, we partner in creating a treatment plan that may include supplements, herbs, medications, breath work, energy work, mindfulness and lifestyle support to help you through these manifestations.

Post-partum Depression

Postpartum depression and anxiety is often overlooked and under treated.
