A very special welcome to Alaina Powell, our new Medical Assistant as she joins the Kaufman Health and Hormone Center team! You will most likely meet her when you are in the office for your next appointment or maybe via your patient portal messages.
She started out in Texas and migrated to Boulder
Alaina grew up visiting family in Denver regularly and that began the pull to Colorado. Boulder is one of few schools to offer Integrative Physiology so she applied, got in and graduated from the University of Colorado with a coveted degree in Integrative Physiology. Early in 2022 Alaina published an ecological study: Social Vulnerability Is Positively Associated with Cardiometabolic Disease in Colorado.
Constantly learning
Alaina also received a certificate in Public Health and is currently applying to PA (Physician’s Assistant) schools. Joining the Kaufman Health and Hormone Center Team furthers her career goal in women’s health, endocrinology and overall public health.
